Bring on the Snow!!

So a couple days ago, on Thursday to be exact, Ryan Cox called me to see if I wanted to go to a premiere showing of a ski/snowboarding movie called "Children of Winter." Kevin Lloyd bought a ticket for $18 but couldn't go for some reason so I got it! And I didn't have to pay anything!
Everyone who went to the showing got a free day pass to the Canyons, which if you ever go there you might know costs around $90. The only catch to going to the show was that I had to give Kevin the day pass. Lucky for me, after the movie ended I found THREE of the free pass vouchers laying on the ground! Woot! That's about 300 bucks worth.

But anyways... The movie was so amazing!! I really can't even express how crazy-cool it was. It got me stoked for winter and snowboarding although if I even think about doing any of the things the people in the movie did I might break in half.

So Divided

Have you ever been looking through a collection of entirely random cds of bands which you have never heard of and decided to try one out? I was in one of these experimental moods yesterday at FYE when I found "So Divided" by a band called ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead. I bought the CD for about 3 dollars and am now totally addicted to it! I was sort of expecting some heavy metal band but to me these guys sound more like a mix between The Arcade Fire and Rusted Root. They're HECKA tight!

Routine Check-up

So I went to the dentist for my semiannual check-up today, and every semiannual check-up it's the same story: "Well Mark, looks like you've got a cavity between your teeth. You probably need to floss more."

"Alright, I will."

No I wont. I never come through on my end of the bargain. Flossing is a nuisance! Trying to weave a little thread between my snugly grown teeth is tough. But hey, I'll give it a go, and we'll see how things end up.
